Troubleshooting Charge Line Not Functioning on 2017 Winnebago View
Question:
Recently upgraded my toad from a 2016 Kia Soul manual to a 2022 Kia Soul Turbo. Thought I had purchased all of the parts I needed for the new toad from eTrailer but mistakenly thought a charge line had been installed in my 2017 Winnebago View. When investigating prior to purchasing the charge line kit for the RV and disassembling the socket, I found that there are 10 wires 9 yellow, 1 white already coming into the socket on the View. What parts will I need to install a charge line? The new toad does have 156-25 currently installed. Thanks for your help.

Based on your pictures your 2017 Winnebago View does in fact have a charge line. The + on the number 4 pin should have 12 Volt power. If you haven't tested it, I recommend using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to see if there is power on that pin/wire. If you don't have power it is probably an issue with a fuse. Try checking the owner's manual for the fuse location and add or replace the fuse if necessary.
If you are unable to get this to work it is possible there is a different issue which may be the wire or the fuse box. In that case, you can still install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75. You will need to identify which wire is running to the 4-pin on the connector. Once you have identified this wire, you can either try to remove it from the connection and replace it with the charge line kit wire, or cut it a few inches back and connect the charge line kit wire to the yellow wire using a butt connector like the # DW05745-1.
