Recomended Solar Panel Setup for 2018 Keystone Springdale BH 240BHWE

Question:

I own 2018 Keystone Springdale BH 240BHWE. There is a port or plugin labeled Solar on exterior front lower left side near propane tanks and batteries setup What exactly does this do and everything I need to go with it for charging my 12v batteries will use electric charger when no sun for solar. I live off grid on remote 20 acres mountain property. I have 2 x Renogy 12v Deep Cycle AGM Batteries 100Ah each. 30Amp 12v Smart Battery Charger Electrical Outlet on Generator Gas prices are insane need alternative charging source to use also.

From the attached image, you have what looks to be an SAE solar plug, a DC connector. This is most likely connected to your battery bank, I suggest you trace the wires.

If this does not go through a charge controller, you will need to have one in addition to the solar panels. I recommend the 200 Watt Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller, # 34282610. This portable solar charging system lets you place the solar panel where you need it for maximum sunlight. The foldable 220-watt panel provides DC power to charge your RV's batteries. Includes adapters to suit your battery connection.

We also have the 30' extension cable for Go Power Portable Solar Kit, # 34270356 if needed. You will want to use this to gain added length for positioning the solar panels in a better location if needed.

I recommend that you begin with at least 200 watts of solar for the battery bank you list and determine from there if this provides you the needed charge to top off your batteries each day after normal usage. You can add additional panels if needed. We have roof mounted systems too if you are interested, but these are best suited for when mobile. Because you will be fixed, I recommend the portable panels so as to adjust as needed to capture the greatest amount of sunshine. Please note the linked help articles and product videos below.
