Do I have to Purchase etrailer Lock # e98874 for My etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874?

I have your: - 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs Item # e98874 - It looks like I can only use your hitch lock? The threads stop any other lock going in... - So if I buy your carrier I *have* to buy your lock?

I can definitely shed some light on that. For cargo carriers like the etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874, there is no universal threading for the shanks of all cargo carrier manufacturers. For that reason, each brand has different threading dimensions in the shanks, and other brand threaded locking hitch pins will not work. With that being said, in order to lock your # e98874, the correct threading you need is included on the etrailer Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin # e99047.
