c Using A Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack To Carry A Child's Step-through Bike

Question:

I read your previous answers regarding the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack for bikes with low step-through frames. My daughters bike brings this to the extreme, the proper position for the hook is just 14.5 in above ground. Will the hook go down that far? What is the hooks lowest position relative to the rails for the bike wheels? Or will such a bike require an adapter bar that connects handlebar and stem? Thanks!

Unfortunately, the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # TH92BJ, does not have a hook to clamp a tube only 14-1/2" above the bike tray. You will need to add a bike frame adapter, part # TH982XT. Please keep in mind a frame adapter will not fit on a bike that is smaller than a 20" kid's bike.
