Troubleshooting A 2020 Nissan Frontier 7-Way Wiring Harness That Has Constant Power To The Brakes

i order the7 way wire harness for 2020 nissan frontier my trailer brakes will not release the plugs on the harness only plug in one way I checked the 7 way plug the ground wire is hot the brake wire seem to be the ground

I would start by checking each connector on your T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118266 to ensure that you don't have any bent or damaged pins or any debris in the connectors. If not and all connectors are fully connected together then you'll want to test the 7-way to rule out that the wiring harness is the issue.
I've attached a wiring diagram below which you can use to identify the prong/wire functions. If the functions on are correct on the 7-way on your 2020 Nissan Frontier then we know the issue lies with your trailer's wiring, which means that the 7-way on your trailer is incorrectly wired.
I recommend getting a junction box # 38656 for an easy way to complete you connections in a nice organized way.
