Using Optronics # STL69RRXB LED Lamps to Provide Illumination on Outside of Ice Fishing House
Question:
I know this sounds crazy but.... we are building a 12x22 fishhouse and I would like to mount these lights on the outside corner of the house so when we are inside I can turn them on so those snowmobiles and cars dont hit us.... Can I just hook up these taillights right to my in house 12V system? Will that work? And what do I do with the ground wire?

You can certainly use the # STL69RRXB lamps for the purpose you describe, it sounds like an excellent idea. On the lamp, you can simply join the red and black wire from the lamp together and connect them to your 12-volt power source. The ground wire should be connected to the negative terminal of the battery you are using to provide 12-volt power to complete the circuit.
If you wish, you can use a switch like the # D16740 to turn the lamps on and off as needed.
