Will Camco Garden Hose Connector Help Stop Leaking Hose
Question:
I purchased a new hose...it has a 5/8inch interior dimension. When I attached it to the homes outside spigot, the spigot leaked. It appears the new 5/8inch hose is smaller than the old hose 3/4inch interior dimension. I believe the leak is caused by the water pressure now trying to flow through the smaller 5/8inch hose vs. the older 3/4inch hose, Would CAM222484 be a solution if the leaking at the spigot is caused by some stripped threads that is creating the leak due to the water flow now trying to get through the smaller 5/8inch vs. the former 3/4inch hose? Or, would the water just be forced up and leak out at the top of the CAM22484? Thank you

The water would not be forced up and leak out of the top if you have stripped threads, so you can definitely use the Camco Garden Hose Connector for Unthreaded or Stripped Faucet # CAM22484.
