Weight Distribution and Shank that Can do 8 inches of Drop
Question:
My motorhome hitch height is 23 inches and my trailer at level is 15 inches. So 8 inch . The shank that comes with the C17500 is less than 8 inches it appears. So if I order the C17500 will I need to purchase another shank or will Curt swap shanks to get a longer one? If not it drives the cost up. Am I better off buying another style or brand wd hitch that doesnt come with a shank and then buy the shank separate.

Since there isn't a way to swap out the shank of the Curt TruTrack # C17500 the best option would be to go with a system like the Reese part # RP66022 and get the shank that gives you the amount of rise/drop you need like with the # FA92-02-4315 and you'd be set.
