Replacing The Blue Ox Sway Pro Spring Bars To Bigger Spring Bars

Question:

Is it acceptable to upgrade to the 2000# bars if I have the sway pro system that is rated for 1500# already? I ask this because the 2000# system kit from blue ox also comes with a 2-1/2inch receiver shank, and the 1500# system i have comes with a 2inch receiver shank? I notice in other answers that have been given this is not talked about? I currently use an adapter to go from2inch to 2-1/2inch to fit my trucks 2-1/2inch receiver. I would like to upgrade spring bars also and thought I would ask, maybe its not a problem?

When it comes to replacing your 1,500 pound Blue Ox Sway Bars # BXW4008 to The Replacement Spring Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System - 2,000 pound TW # BXW4014 is acceptable if your tongue weight of the trailer that you're hauling is between 1,500 to 2,000 pounds.

When using a weight distribution system it's safer to be as close as possible to the proper tongue weight as possible, going way under or way higher could result in a poor ride or a dangerous ride.

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - Underslung - 20K GTW, 2K TW # BXW2003 has the ability to haul a trailer that has a tongue weight between 1,500 and 2,000 pounds and offers the 2-1/2 inch shank. Or you could just get The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2 inch Hitch - 9 inch Long - 9 Hole Adjustment # BXW4028 so you don't have to use the adapter.

I attached a review video link below.
