Solution for Replacement Inner Member for Tie Down 75LP

Question:

I have the same question as 568034, but you don’t clarify one part of his question. I have a FourWinns dual axle trainer with disc brakes and Tie Down 75LP coupler/actuator. I would like to replace the entire inner slide. As he said, on the DX39FR “the rear pin is in a much different location as compared to my 75LP.” My unit looks exactly as his pictures. How is this rear pin issue resolved?

Without the rear pin hole it does not look like the Replacement Inner Member # DX39FR will fit. The other pin holes also do not appear to line up. I would not recommend attempting to modify the housing to make this fit either. Also, this inner member is designed for a single axle. A dual axle would require the # DX99FR.

The only solution would be to replace the entire actuator with one like the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout - Bolt On - Disc - 2" Ball - Zinc - 7.5K # DX56FR. This fits a 3" x 5" straight tongue and has a bolt-on installation.

I have attached a link below that you can check out listing our available actuators if you have a different tongue size or would prefer a weld-on installation.
