Will Reese Goose Box Installed on Trailer Allow Truck with 6-1/2 ft Bed to Make Tight Turns

Question:

My 5th wheel has a Lipperet 1621 OE pinbox. Im trying to decide between the sidwinder for my 6.4foot box and the Goosebox. Yes two totally different hitches. The sidewinder eliminates hitting the cab a feature is like, but it lacks any cushioning and Im have the fifth wheel hitch in the bed a real neg for me. The goosebox sounds great but still have the cab impact possibility. What do the experts say?

If your fifth wheel trailer has a tapered nose at all your truck would be able to make tight turns with the Goose Box part # RP85FR installed based on you having a slightly longer "short bed". The newer trailers are mostly tapering the noses to help with turning clearance so I would feel confident saying you'd have the clearance needed. Plus it allows you to not have to have a big heavy fifth wheel in the bed of your truck.
