Hello I need a replacement tarp for my 1997 Chevy 1500 short bed , it looks like it was a snap on type of cover I see you guys have lots for sale but I can’t find the one I need

It sounds like you have the Extang BlackMax Soft Tonneau Cover # EX2620, which is no longer available, on your 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 short bed.
This tonneau cover is a snap on cover like you mentioned, and will fit a 6-1/2' bed.
If this is the tonneau cover you have for your truck, then the correct replacement tarp is the:
