Difference Between The Curt Q24 And Q25 Fifth Wheel Hitches
Question:
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed and I was looking at C16546 or C16566. Whats the difference between these hitches?

The difference between the Curt Q24 # C16546 and Q25 # C16566 is simply just that the head of the Q25 is rated for 25,000lbs whereas the Q24 is only rated for 24,000lbs. That being said the sliding base is only rated for 24,000lbs so you would still be limited to that capacity.
To mount your new hitch in the bed of your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Dodge Ram # C16420-204. This custom bracket kit makes installation easy by utilizing the factory holes in your frame instead of making you drill new ones.
