Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System Not Charging Towed Vehicle Battery
Question:
The Stealth battery maintainer is not keeping my 2020 Wrangler’s battery charged during transit. I left in the morning with 12.5 volts in the battery and arrived 11 hours later with 7.5 volts. The long red wire that is run to the battery shows about 13 volts when the RV is running and the flexible cable is plugged in.

If the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System, # HM39530 is failing to charge the battery in your Jeep while under tow, your RV may not have continuous 12 Volt DC charging on the 7 way connector. I suggest looking for a loose connection that is causing failure of continuity with movement. You'll want to check the pin at 1 o'clock when looking at the RV's receptacle using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993.
If this shows to be the issue, you will want to add the charge line kit, # RM-156-75.
