Replacement Actuator for a 1999 Wood/Ranger Dual Axle Trailer

Question:

Good morning, I have a 1998 ranger 620 that is on a 1999 Wood/Ranger dual axle trailer with hydraulic disc brakes on the rear wheels only, the front wheels dont have any brakes. I need to replace the actuator and Im not sure what part this would be. This is a 2 inch ball. I currently have to manually turn a knob on the trailer when I back up to turn off the braking, Id like to convert that over to have this automatic if possible. Thank you.

To replace the actuator on your 1999 Wood/Ranger dual axle trailer you will want to use the Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator - Tandem Axle w/ Disc - 2" Ball - 7,500 lbs item # DX99FR. The knob you were talking about secures the coupler to the hitch ball. This actuator secures with a pin so you won't have to worry about cranking down a knob when you hook up.

You will need a 5-way connector with this actuator. I recommend the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat - Vehicle End item # C57187.
