What Is Each Wire on the Universal Brake Control Wiring Adapter, item # 3025-S, Used For?
Question:
Bought the plug and brake controller, but the instructions do not say what each wire on the adapter is. I have a 2003 chevy 2500 hd silverado and I have the junction box under the dash. The box is not identical as some I have seen in your videos but the plug in spot is in the top second from left spot.

The # 3025-S Universal wiring adapter is not the correct adapter for the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. The connector will fit but You will need to remove the blue locking clip and switch the red wire from the top left, looking at the connector with the locking clip in the down position, to the bottom right connector terminal (opposite corner). To get the red wire out you will need to press on a very small locking tab on the connection side of the terminal. This is the only change that will need to be made. Remember to reinstall the blue locking clip.
The wires on the adapter, item # 3025-S, (once changed to the correct position for your truck) that plugs in under the dash on your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and most brake controllers will match up color for color.
Red Wire - is the brake circuit coming from the brake pedal stop switch
Blue Wire - is the feed going to the trailer brakes
Black wire - is the constant power wire coming into the brake controller
White Wire - is the ground wire going to the brake controller
I spoke to my contact at Bully and found that the Bully brake controller is wired as you have stated. You will need to connect the Red wire from the brake controller to the black wire on the adapter, the blue wire on the brake controller to the red wire on the adapter, the yellow wire on the brake controller to the blue wire on the adapter and the black wire on the brake controller to the white ground wire on the adapter. I would make double sure and test the brake controller (see video link) before wiring the controller to the vehicle.
