Pull Pin is Hard top Pull On Fulton Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Trailer Jack

Question:

My jack is mounted on the trailer tongue. It went on easily. However, it was extermely hard to retract it. I had to brace both feet on the tongue while sitting on a chair to get enough pull to raise the the wheel. The spring seems extremely stiff. Now I cant get the wheel to go down. Its of no use to me this way. Suggestions welcomed! Thank you.

Pull pins on swivel jacks like on # F1410050149 are difficult to pull at first when they are new. But the springs also have to be strong because you do not want the jack to slip at all. A little lubricant and a little time working the pin in and out should make it easier to use.

It will also be hard to pull if there is tension on the jack. Jiggling the leg while pulling on the pin at the same time will help.
