Will Roadmaster Active Suspension Raise the Back of 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

What about air bags? When they are not inflated and at there lowest pressure will they change ride height when your not underload?

Installation of the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-Y on your 2018 Ford F-150 can raise the back end of the truck a little. According to RoadActive, it is likely you won't even notice but at most you are looking at about an inch. However, if your suspension is worn the lift may be more significant with the added support from the RAS system.

If you have a 4WD model then the # RAS3611-Y is the correct kit for your truck. If you have the 2WD then you will need the # RAS3611-B instead.

I have attached an installation video for your reference.

Air bags like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2582 will have no impact when they are kept at the minimum 5 psi. Not only will they not increase the height of your truck, they also will not impact the ride quality of the vehicle when they are not inflated. If you're going to add air bags then Firestone is definitely the way to go. The quality and durability can't be beat. The # F2582 has a load-leveling capacity of 4,800 lbs and the air springs come with a limited lifetime warranty. Since it sounds like you will be inflating and deflating the air bags depending on what you are doing, I highly recommend adding an air compressor like the Firestone Air Command I # F2097. This will allow you to control the pressure of your air bags wherever you are from the cab of your vehicle. This is a single path system so it keeps the pressure the same in each air bag. If you would like to control them individually you would need a dual path system like the # F2219 instead. I have attached some review and installation videos that you can check out.
