Will Wiring Two 12V Batteries in Series Result in Double Capacity
Question:
If i wire 2 batteries in series =24v but if i just tap off of one battery will the voltage be 12v or 24v? if 12vdc then will the battery not being tapped continue to feed the tapped battery 12vdc amps effectively doubling my amp hrs 12vdc?

Wiring the batteries in series is going to give you double the voltage (24V) with the same capacity (Ah). In order to have the same 12V power with the additional Ah you will need to wire the batteries in parallel. This will give you the same voltage with double the capacity. See the diagrams below.
