When it comes to installing The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 on your 2007 Toyota Tundra there are a few different scenarios for which wiring you will need to install the controller.
The first scenario is if you have no wiring harnesses what so ever on your vehicle. You will first need a 4-way flat connecter. The Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter w Hardwire Kit and Tester - 4-Pole Flat # C59496. This harness will give you the 4 flat connection point that will help with the installation with the next wiring harness you will need. The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7 will plug into the 4 flat harness you just installed and make the 4 flat into a 7 round and 4 flat connector. The connector will have four extra wires that you will have to attach to your vehicle/controller to get them to activate your brakes. The 4 wire functions are below.
Black - 12 Volt Hot Lead
Blue - Electric Brake
White - Ground
Yellow - Reverse Lights
Then finally you need The Tekonsha Controller # 90195 and it comes with the correct harness you will need to splice in.
The second scenario is if you already have the 4 flat connector. If that is the case you will need the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185 which will connect like the # ETBC7 above. Then with the controller # 90195 you will also need the wiring adapter that will plug into The Tekonsha P3 Controller # 3040-P.
The final scenario is if you already have both the 4 flat connector and the 7 round connector. If both are present you will just need The P3 Controller # 90195 and The P3 Controller Harness # 3040-P.
