Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2013 Ford Fiesta and a 2022 Ford Maverick

Hello, We have two possible future towables. One is a 2013 Ford Fiesta Manual Transmission, the other is a 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid. What base plates combo for the two vehicles will do this? We would like 1 tow barlike the Falcon 2 or Falcon all terrain to easily switch from one vehicle to another. We are interested in a possible quick connect crossbar. Also the possibility of ball style tow bar that will interchange with the motorhome style at the crossbar.

We can definitely help get you set up to flat tow both your 2013 Ford Fiesta and your 2022 Ford Maverick. You will need a base plate kit for each vehicle, a tow bar that can be used for both, safety cables, tow bar wiring for each vehicle and a supplemental braking system.

The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522 can be used with the Replacement Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly for Roadmaster Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars # 910021-00. This will allow you to hook up to the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 524425-1 on your Fiesta and the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM37RR on your Maverick. You will also need safety cables like the RoadMaster 64" Double Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-646.

The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 can be used on each vehicle to allow use of your tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. You would need to get (2), one for each vehicle.

The Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is a portable braking system that will allow you to switch it from one vehicle to the other. The 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 can be used to provide the power needed for the Patriot braking system.

You will also want to consult the owners manual for both of your vehicles to ensure that you are doing everything that is recommended/required for flat towing your vehicles.
