To flat tow your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite you will need at least 5 main parts. Those parts being a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system.

Overall both had similar recommendations other than the braking system and that really just comes down to personal preference. One offered the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 (requires the # RM-751471 for installation) which is a permanent installation that doesn't require you to remove, adjust or reactivate it each time while the other recommended the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR which is a portable option.

Both recommended the same base plate kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521451-5.

They did have different tow bar recommendations, I prefer the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain # RM-522 because it is a non-binding tow bar which allows you to release your vehicle easier, even on unlevel ground.

They also had a different way to get the wiring and safety cables with the easiest option being the RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Combo Towing Kit with Straight Wiring # RM-9243-1 which is kind of an all-in-one kit for wiring and safety cables.

Neither option is wrong or technically better than the other, as long as you get the 5 main parts needed it is really just a matter of preference.
