Weight Distribution and Sway Control Recommendation for KZ Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a KZ 245 travel trailer with empty weight of 5230 and GVWR of 7000. Dry hitch weight of 620. I used to pull it with my F250 with Husky WDH that uses chains instead of solid bars. I now have a 2020 F150 with max towing package. Empty weight is 4868 and GVWR is 7000. GCWR IS 16100. I have a terrible sway problem and wonder if you can recommend the best choices for a hitch. I only experience the bad sway on Interstates with semis and wind.the truck pulls the trailer like it is not even back there but the sway can be terrifying at times.

The best weight distribution and sway control I can recommend for your KZ travel trailer is going to be the Strait Line system part # RP66084 which has a tongue weight rating of 600-1,200 lbs and features the best sway control at fighting sway before it starts. This will do the best job and getting rid of the sway you are experiencing from wind and passing semi trucks.
