Can 7,000 lb Timbren Axle-Less System be Used For Tandem Axle Trailer & Distance Between Tires
Question:
I have a Tandem gooseneck trailer with two 7000# axels. I was wanting to switch to the Timbren axle-less. Can these be used and if so what distance is min between hangers and how can I measure them.

Yes, your gooseneck trailer with a pair of 7,000 lb axles can absolutely switch to the Timbren Axle-Less system, and you'll also need the correct hubs; both parts are the following:
- Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 7K # TASR7KS01
- Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ
As far as the minimum distance between hangers, I reached out to Timbren and they said there wasn't a specific minimum difference. What they told me was that the important factor was actually the tire size. They said to get the correct distance between the two systems - from center to center - you need to measure the diameter of your tire and then add 2 to 4 inches.
