The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98865 for your 2017 GMC Terrain is rated to be able to tow up to 350lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight up to 3,500lbs. According to your owners manual if you do not have trailer brakes the trailer weight should not exceed 1,000lbs. If your trailer does have brakes then you can tow up to 1,500lbs with the inline I-4 or 3,500lbs with the V-6 engine.
If your pop up camper does not have trailer brakes I can help you outfit it with brakes if you can get me the axle information off your camper.
You will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118494 and Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 to put a 7-way connector on your Terrain. This will then allow you to install a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty # RED24FR using the Universal Wiring Harness # RED69FR.
