In order to help your 2019 Chevrolet Colorado when towing I recommend adding the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS4617. The RAS will do a great job of helping to prevent sag which reduces issues like poor braking, irregular tire wear, and improper headlight aim. It also works to reduce rear end sway on the truck to help you feel more in control while towing.
If you have issues with trailer sway and it has brakes then you can use a device like the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control part # 335TSC-1000.
If a weight distribution system is not recommended then it's unlikely a friction sway control device will be.
