It does appear that the white wire with tan tracer is the correct wire to connect the red wire from a Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 on your 1996 Dodge Ram 3500. Be sure to verify this is correct with a Test Light # PTW2993 as the wiring may have been altered on your Ram.
