Does Wheel Stud Diameter Matter When Choosing Brake Drums for 7K Axle
Question:
I see there are either 1/2, 5/8inch and 9/16inch studs for the 3500 lb 8x6-1/2 drum assemblies. Since they are all rated at 3500 lbs, does it matter which I use?

Capacity wise, it doesn't really matter but you'll want to choose the wheel stud diameter than matches the lug holes in the wheels you're planning on using. As long as that matches up, you'll be good to go.
