Solution to Bypass OEM Trailer Wiring No Activation Issues of 2019 Ford F-150
Question:
I bought my 2019 F-150 STX used. The auto start/stop has never worked. That wasnt a big deal until I figured out that the same thing that controls it controls my Trailer lights. Obviously my trailer lights arent working. What should I check? Could the previous owner have messed with the programming? Or is it a blown or missing fuse? I am at my wits end. Even took it to the Dodge dealer I bought it from and they replaced the battery.

The simplest solution is going to be to wire in a universal trailer wiring kit # 119250KIT to the taillights of your 2019 Ford F-150 and then cut the 4-way off of it and wire to your current 7-way. This will bypass all of the factory wiring issues you are having which would be really difficult to diagnose. This kit normally is installed on vehicles that do not have any factory wiring and uses the taillight signals to activate trailer wiring and draws battery directly from the vehicle battery. This will bypass your problem all together and work great.
