Is Threadlocker Needed For Installation Of The Derale 3/4-16 Filter Nipple?
Question:
Do the oil filter nipples need a thread locker when installed? Such as loc-tite? I am Installing it on my gsxr 1100 Suzuki so I can run the same filter on it as my ford ranger. And will also work if I install a Oil gauge sandwich plate later on. Thank you

I took a look at the instructions for the Derale 3/4-16 Filter Nipple # D98020, and it does not call for any threadlocker, however you could still use a less permanent threadlocker like the Loctite Threadlocker 242 # LT37477, which is a medium strength threadlocker and can still be disassembled relatively easily.
