Replacement Grease Seal for 3500 lb Axle
Question:
I have a 2020 coachman apex ultra light travel trailer.. I want to repack my wheel bearings... not sure what bearing seals I would need to purchase.. I have to axles and the gvwr of the trailer is 6500lb... thanks

You likely have tandem 3500 lb axles, you can confirm this by pulling one of your hubs and finding the reference numbers off the cages from the inner and outer wheel bearings. If the inner bearing is L68149 and the outer is L44649, then you do indeed have a 3500 lb axle.
If that's the case, you'll need a 10-19 grease seal like part # 58846. You can verify that this would be the correct seal by using a # PTW80157 digital caliper and measuring the inner hub bore and the surface of the spindle where the seal rides. If the spindle diameter at that spot is approximately 1.719 inches and the inner hub bore is 2.565 inches, the # 58846 would be the correct replacement seal.
