Lift-Bracket Positioning for the Reese RP58305 Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have some obstructions on my trailer tongue beams, so there are limited locations where I can put the snap-up brackets. Where does the bracket need to be installed for this hitch to work? How far back from the hitch ball does the center of the snap-up bracket need to be? Other hitches specify this in their documentation, but this RP65509 hitch lacks such a spec, either on your page or the install instructions.

I would be happy to help you. The lift brackets for the Reese Weight Distribution System item # RP65509 mount around 30" from the hitch ball.
If you don't have room for the snap-up brackets you can still use a weight distribution system. You would need to use the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems item # RP58305. These bolt-on chain hangers provide an attachment point for your weight-distribution spring bars without interfering with trailer-frame-mounted items.
