Does Front Hitch for 2017 Chevy Colorado have Capacity for Bike Rack and Hitch
Question:
The bike carrier i intend to attach to the front 2inch receiver is 60 lbs and the two bikes total 160 lbs. While the hitch can handle the weight can the front axle of the truck take the extra weight and the leverage applied by the rack and the bikes? This will determine f I can use the hitch to carry the bikes on the front of the truck.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The front hitches that fit your 2017 Chevy Colorado like the Draw Tite part # 65071 have more than enough capacity to carry 160 lbs of bikes and bike rack. The front axle of the truck would also easily be able to handle that as well.
