Should Hitch Ball Grease Be Used on Blue Ox TrackPro
Question:
I recently purchased this hitch and it worked great on the first trip. I am curious as there was some scratching on the top so i am considering getting some grease to apply to help reduce friction. does this product recommend against applying grease to the ball to assist with friction and damage to the ball?

The Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 8K GTW, 800 lbs TW # BLU47FR actually recommends using grease periodically on the hitch ball as part of the regular maintenance. The White Grease Hitch Ball Lube # 58117 is specifically designed for that purpose. This will reduce friction to help prevent scratches and damage on your hitch ball.
