Can Receiver Extension Be Used With Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System

Question:

Hello I am towing with a 2018 Ford F-150 XL 2wd. I have a Curt class 4 hitch receiver. I have a Equalizerinch weight distribution hitch. And I will be towing a 4,000 lb travel trailer. Will this receiver extension be safe to use for my towing application? Thank you,

I do have an option for you but we don't recommend using receiver extensions with a weight distribution system. That said, we do offer weight distribution system shanks with an extended length which a lot of people use so they can put their tailgate down with the trailer attached. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4600 is a great option for this.
