Does the Saris Freedom Bike Rack Fit a 2016 Kia Sportage?
Question:
i need a bike rack for my Townie Go. I drive a 2016 Kia Sportage. Do you know if the saris 2 will fit the bikes on my car? Ive read there have been problems due to the design of the back of the Kia. Thank you!

Yes - the Saris Freedom # SA4412B is a great rack for your Townie Go. From my available specs on those models, all of the Go models have a weight of under 60 pounds which is compatible with the weight capacity of the Freedom. They also have a wheelbase of under 48 inches from axle to axle. If you happen to have tire widths that are between 2.25 - 5 inches wide, I recommend using the fat bike version of the rack as part # SA4412B-FB.
For theft-deterring locks, I recommend the # SA3022 and the # e98891 to protect both your bikes and your rack from theft.
As far as attaching the rack to your 2016 Kia Sportage, you have absolutely no problems with the rack on a hitch. If you need a hitch, I recommend the Curt - 2" # C13120. This hitch comes with a gloss outer coat over the base powder coat that provides superior protection against rust and corrosion than other brands. With this factor, you do not need to worry about the hitch deteriorating. It also includes a super easy installation that only takes about 30 minutes so you can spend your time doing the things you enjoy.
