While it is technically possible for a tandem bike to be used on the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers - 22-1/2" Jack Clearance # LC429756, I confirmed with my tech at Lippert that they do not recommend it. This is because adding the super long bike frame of a tandem bike will greatly reduce the turning radius of your trailer and may cause greater chance for making contact with the rear of your tow vehicle. Also, in some states, depending on the total length of your tandem bikes, it may extend out too far on the sides to be within legal range.

A much better and safer option is to use a tandem roof rack on your tow vehicle. I recommend the Thule Tandem Roof Mounted Bike Rack - Pivoting Design # TH558P. This rack provides you the space you need so you do not need to worry about clearance or legal issues.
