Replacement 6,000LB Trailer Axle For Mobile Home Axle With 74" Spring Center and 89" Hub Face

Question:

Hi I’m converting from the mobile home style axles to the more standard axles on my tilt deck equipment trailer. The 2 measurements I have are 74” from spring center to spring center and 80” from brake backing plate to backing plate. I would like either 5,200 lb or 6,000lb axles to use as replacements, do you have any suggestions? Otherwise I may just try converting my hubs on my current axle. Thanks!

I recommend the etrailer Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # e65SR for your tilt deck trailer. This axle will come preloaded with the brakes, hubs and has an easy grease spindle. It has your spring center of 74" with a hub face to hub face of 89". It is rated for 6,000lbs with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and fits 14-1/2" to 16-1/2" diameter wheels.

The leaf spring pads are welded for an underslung design. If you need overslung axles the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 will allow you to mount it below the leaf springs.
