Bearing Buddies For 2006 EZ Loader Boat Trailer With Dexter 10" Disc Brake Kit

Question:

I replaced the brakes on my 2006 EZ loader tandem axle trailer with the Dexter Eliminator 10” disc brake kit. I need bearing buddies to replace the regular dust cap. Unsure or the right size I also have one wheel that has an oil bath hub. I would like to convert that to grease and need a threaded bearing buddy for that hub. Bolt pattern is 4 1/2” and 13” Wheels.

The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS will fit your hubs that have the press in dust cap. For the one hub you have with oil bath bearings you will want to verify the dimensions of the hub opening. The information I found on EZ Loader suggests it will be the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980T-SS. Currently we only carry both of these products by the pair so you will have extras. You will also need to replace your oil seal with a grease seal. Again you will need to verify the dimensions, the Grease Seal # 168255TB has an outer diameter of 2.561" and inner diameter of 1.687". Be sure to clean out all of the old grease and oil from the bearings. I recommend using LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 to fill your hubs.
