Will Replacement Hubs With Smaller Grease Seal Fit 2010 Carson Utility Trailer
Question:
I bought Black Wheels from your website. My mistake was I thought that I ordered the same wheel size I had on my trailer. I have 5 X 5 15inch but I ordered 5 x 4.5 by mistake. To return the 4 wheels and tires is more expensive than buying new hubs. It appears the AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K will work. I measured my spindle and all the numbers work except the seal diameter.Dinch Mine is 1.7220 inches. The other measurements were dead on. The old hub is a Axletek HL 05/09 with L44649 and L68149 bearings. Before I order I want to make sure it will work. See Photo of spindle. Thanks

You are correct, the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K will work as a replacement for your trailer. Since the inner diameter of the grease seal on these hubs is slightly smaller you won't have any problems. The grease seal will still fit since there is some flexibility.
I have attached an installation video for your reference.
