Troubleshooting Microphone Issues With The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Back Up Camera System
Question:
I have this furrion camera in the back of my 5th wheel and last year the speaker clearly picked up a normal voice on it. When I hooked it up this year you can barely hear it with the volume turned all the way up on both the side and the settings. Is there a microphone on the camera or the speaker on the monitor, could they be plugged and blown out with a little air or is it another issue?

My first recommendation is to unpair and re-pair your camera and monitor as this will usually solve most technical issues with your camera system.
If you upgraded the truck you're towing your trailer with to a 2020 or newer Chevy or GM you could be experiencing PWM issues with your Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF.
If this is the case then I recommend installing the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR to provide a steady current of voltage to your camera to ensure it properly functions.
If this is not the case, then check the camera microphone (pictured below) for any debris to ensure it's not clogged up. If there isn't any debris then the monitor speakers may be the issue and would require you to replace the monitor with one of the following replacements:
Replacement 4.3" Monitor for Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Camera System # FR77FR.
Replacement 5" Monitor for Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Camera System # FR97FR.
Replacement 7" Monitor for Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Camera System # FR47FR.
