Compatibility Of Curt And Reese Weight Distribution System Pieces

Question:

I am using the Curt WD system and want to go to the Reese Dual cam. Will the Reese spring bars fit into the Curt hitch unit ? Both are the trunnion bars. Then I will just purchase the bars and cams and brackets. I guess I can also use the Curt snap up brackets too. Thanks!

When it comes to changing from the Curt WD System # C17500 to The Reese Dual Cam System, you will have to replace everything but the shank.

Your best option would be to order The Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - No Shank - Trunnion Bar - 12K GTW, 1,200 pounds TW # RP66074. This Reese system does not come with the shank and is compatible with the Curt shank that you already have, this system comes with the dual cam system plus the bars and the head.
