What Boat Winch do You Recommend for My 6,000 Pound Boat?

Question:

Looking for recommendation on electric trailer winch. I have 23 Grady White. All-in weight is ~ 6,000 lbs. Did not find anything with that weight spec on the website. Thanks.

I have a great solution for you. The great news is that for your boat that weighs approximately 6,000 pounds, we recommend using a winch that is only at least half of that weight since the entire weight of the boat isn't being lifted at any given time of the loading process. With that being said, a great option that is boat-approved is the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 4,400 lbs # BDW15019. This winch has a 4,400 pound line-pull rating which is plenty of weight capacity over half the weight of your boat. The overall dimensions of the winch are 15-3/16" long x 4-1/4" wide x 7-1/4" tall and it already comes with a mounting plate and hardware.

I went ahead and attached a video that outlines the parts included as well as a demo video of the winch installed/being used.
