Can a Ball Mount With a 3-4" Rise/Drop Be Used With 2019 Volkswagen Atlas
Question:
My 2019 VW Atlas information states only a 2 allowed but I need 3-4 to get the trailer level. It has the factory tow and 4motion and I am only towing 3000# of the allowed 5000#. Is there any problem with the increased . Not sure why they have that parameter.

You can use a ball mount with a 3-4" rise/drop on your 2019 Volkswagen Atlas in order to get your trailer level. I'm not sure if you are looking for a rise or drop, but something like the Draw-Tite Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 3" Rise, 4" Drop - 9-1/4" Long - 16K # 40331 would work for both. You would also need a 2" ball like # A-90.
Keep in mind, you want to be as close as possible to level but it doesn't have to be perfect. If you're off by an inch it won't hurt.
I have attached a link to all of our ball mounts for 2" hitches along with a helpful article on how to measure for trailer hitch drop for your reference.
