Thickness of Face on Replacement Cam Lock Cylinder

Hi, I am curious as to how far above the surface does the part below extend above the surface. The reason for my question is that I am considering installing these on the floor hatches of my boat and will be possibly walking or stepping on them. Replacement Cam Lock Cylinder for RVs - Keyed Alike Option - Stainless Steel - 7/8inch Long Item # 295-000003
