Yes, According to the owners manual for your 2011 GMC Terrain it can be flat towed. In order to flat tow your 2011 GMC Terrain you will need 5 main parts (some other parts may be necessary for your specific vehicle). The 5 main parts are the base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system. I have listed the parts needed below, along with a brief description of their purpose and a recommendation for each part.

Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part for your Terrain that provides the attachment points needed for the tow bar. I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1689.

Tow Bar: This is what will come from your motorhome and attach to the base plate kit. I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380. This tow bar is compatible with the above recommended base plate kit and includes safety cables, so you will not need to get those separately.

Tow Bar Wiring: This allows you to use your GMC Terrain's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. You will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 and the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM-76517 (if you have a 4 cylinder) or the # RM76511 (if you have a V6).

Supplemental Braking System: This is what will allow you to travel with and safely stop your Terrain behind your motor home. I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This will provide you with a proportional braking system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.

You may also need a high low adapter to keep your tow set-up level. I have attached a help article to help you determine if that is needed and I linked our selection of adapters so that you can choose the correct one. You will also want to consult your Terrain's owners manual to ensure you are following all recommendations/requirements for flat towing your Terrain.
