Solutions for Addressing Tire Failures on a Tandem Axle Travel Trailer
Question:
We have an 11000lb travel trailer on double axels, and we keep having issues with flats on the left, not sure if we need a more heavy duty tire or of it could be some other reason, any ideas?

Based on the information you provided it sounds like your trailer is heavier on the left side and that's why you keep having isolated tire issues. If adjusting your load isn't an option because of a heavy slide out then you could address your problem with heavier duty tires like the Kenda ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range E item # AM1ST97. These are similar to the 15" tires you were looking at but have a higher capacity of 2,960 lbs per tire. They also have a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
You could also address your issue with a suspension upgrade. The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axle item # RM-2460. This system helps to level off-center loads and will help take the stress off of the left side tires.
