Sway Control that Can Work on V-Nose Trailer
Question:
I notice that the online instructions state the ball mounted on the frame should be 24” from the center of the coupler. In my situation, from the frame, at the V-nose, to the center of the coupler is only 23”. Taking into account the mounting brackets size, the distance between the center of the ball mount to the center of the coupler would be about 21”. Would I still be able to use this? Any suggestions?

Expert Reply:
Since you don't have the frame clearance for a friction sway control unit due to the v-nose your best option would be to go with an electric sway control unit like the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control - 1 to 4 Axles
Item # 335TSC-1000 which does not require the same frame clearance. This actually does a much better job stopping sway than a friction unit as well.
