Will The Fan-Tastic Roof Vent Sense A Roof Vent Cover And Stop Opening?

Question:

Have a new 2022 Grand Design with 3 auto-opening Fan-Tastic vents. Since these MaxxAir vent covers only have a 10 1/4 inch interior height, what is the effect on an Auto Opening Vent that opens to 12 inches, but a 10 1/4 interior clearance on the Smoke vent cover? Seems that there is going to be stress on the auto-opening gears/mechanism when the vent tries to go to 12 inches open, but the lid is stopped at 10 1/4 inches.... or ... the vent lid will be continuing to flexinch over time crack/break as the auto-lid opening motor tries to open to the full 12 inches. See a damage issue in play. Please advise.

This has come up in the past, and we've actually spoken to their techs in regards to this issue and your Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote # FV807350 will sense the resistance from the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955003, and stop the lid from opening all the way to prevent your motor from burning up, or further damages that may occur.
