How Tall is the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin with Sidewinder for Lippert 1621
Question:
I will be towing a 2021 Grand Design Solitude S-Class 5thWheel with a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed with factory pucks. I want to replace my existing Lippert 18,000 lb. 1621 pin box with a Reese Sidewinder Airborne #61422. I am looking at either the BandW Companion #BWRVK3710 with height settings from 16.75inch to 18.75 or the Curt A16 #C74FR with height settings from 13inch to 17 fifth wheel hitches, but I am concerned about the height settings and towing my fifth wheel level. Should I expect a similar height setting when using the Reese versus the Lipper pin box? I calculated around a 16.5 in. height setting using the existing Lippert with my tow vehicle. The Sidewinder has to be installed/mounted using specific bolt holes so it cannot be adjusted from that height perspective.

The 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret part # RP61422 will have a very similar height to that of the pin box is will be replacing. That said, I have attached a diagram below so you can be certain it will work for you.
